How-do.

A rash of newbies today by the looks of it. I learnt to pick simple locks as an idle curiosity in the late 90s when doing research and waiting around for results. I have used the skill from time to time around the house and had occasion to open up an old padlock the other day. Reminded how satisfying the puzzle is to solve I googled a bit and have just discovered the world of locksport. A quick e-bay purchase later and I have been trying to get my hand-in with some cheap picks and a few old euro-cylinders I had round the house.

One of them is a newish "high security" tumbler. I've not got frustrated with it yet so the bug may well have bitten - I'm also starting to look out for a nice set of hooks...

Welcome to the group mate, you're in the right place. Have you worked out how to post pics yet? If so, see if you can whack up a pic of the "high security" lock. We love lock porn here...

Hi to you and wellcome, can you tell us , is there any names on the locks, the more information, the more help you can receive. If you can let us know what COUNTY you live in , that will also help.

:welc: welcome to the forum, chances are if it has 'high security' written on the lock it's a piece of Chinesium, these can be tricky for all the wrong reasons. Post a pic!

You must always remember, it's the lock that chooses the pick, not you.

Thanks for the welcome.

After a bit of research I've discovered that the highest security lock I have is a Tigris Omega which would appear to be a bit steep for my abilities(!)

I'm sure that @MHM picked and gutted a Tigris (a GEGE clone?) not long back. I could be wrong though, as I have been many, many, many, many, many times before...
