New member here. VERY new to the world of locks and picking. Been thinking for a while that I want to learn a bit about all this. Impending retirement will hopefully mean spending much more time in Spain and I figured some knowledge of locks could prove useful in a place where holidaymakers are forever locking themselves out of holiday homes etc. A friend lent me a starter kit just over a week ago and I have managed to pick some basic padlocks which has given me encouragement to learn more. Hoping to use this site for tips, advice and access to tutorials. Cheers!

Hi there and welcome to the group @CookieBoy. Please bear in mind that we're a hobbyist site and that we don't advocate anyone picking a lock in use...gaining entry is what locksmiths do for a living.
Picking a lock on the bench and getting through a locked door are two very different things.

With that said, make the most of the site and as long as you're picking your own locks that are on your desk rather than in a door, fill your boots...

Best wishes,
