Hi Wayne, welcome to the forum, most of us here (probably 95%+) are not trained locksmiths. We pick locks for the fun of it, never locks in use either.

My only advice would be that you should think very carefully before parting with the huge sums of cash these 'training courses' cost. You will learn more about picking here and on YT if that is your interest. If not, try to find a job, even an unpaid one with an established locksmith, you will learn much more either way than from a 3-4 day 'training course'.

Just my opinion

I just saw this on Instagram, a training certificate to 'level IIII' and there is no official association endorsement. Would love to know how much they charged him for that piece of err paper.

Christ almighty, google them. I won't dignify them with a link but a one day beginners course runs at 650 pounds and the three day "Level IIII" course will set you back 1500.

Both courses are offered to rank beginners with absolutely no experience. You couldn't make this shit up.

What do we think is included on that course? How to use a drill, hammer and screwdriver? :57:

Welcome, you’ll definitely learn a lot about picking here but bypass and destructive entry is not an area for discussion on this forum. We do have a few resident locksmiths so hopefully they’ll be able to advise about training.
