This is were i am at the moment.
I went for the ridgeback pick set from law locks,
Most of the locks i got out of my shed from when we changed to snap proof, a few years ago.
I havn't picked any of them yet, but have raked the padlock..
Work in progress..

You must always remember, it's the lock that chooses the pick, not you.

I wish I had a "welcome template" like some of the others here, saying to read the rules etc. Just do as they say! :)

There's a wealth of information on this forum and if you can't find what you're after just ask. The only stupid question is one that isn't asked!

Don't be afraid of posting photos of locks you pick on the way as we all like pictures, no matter how easy they are to open. Everybody started somewhere and like seeing people progress. You don't have to pick a Medico to get a +1! In fact there's a whole thread on "What you didn't pick today"' :)

More than anything, have fun and keep it legal!

I think I've just written my first "welcome template"

Welcome mate like you i was an absolute beginner 9 months ago this forum and the experts on it have helped me on my journey no end to which i am now a fully trading Locksmith and getting work which i can tackle with confidence.
Walk before you try to run, start on stuff like Versa euros nice wide keyways and work your way up to carl f and medecos both absolute bastards and frustrating as hell till you get the knack and it will come in time .
The top pickers on here are the best there are and can work miracles on some locks i still get amazed watching them work .
