Hi - I'm Trix. There are many things I don't like and few things that I like (this also applies to people).

My two favourite things are chemistry and playing the clarinet. I'm finishing my degree in principal study clarinet this year and plan to start another one in chemistry straight after. I also play the piano to a reasonable level and have dabbled in flute, saxophone, bassoon and trombone. Although I enjoy playing in orchestras , wind ensembles and teaching clarinet and piano, sometimes these pursuits also provide me with a source of income- a truly fantastic feeling.

My less prioritised hobbies include learning German as a foreign language, the occasional game of chess and now lock picking. I never say no to a Japanese dish and find myself listening to Infected Mushroom whenever I'm not trying to uncover hidden gems in the clarinet repertoire. Bluntness - my most endearing or contemptible quality often supersedes my instincts urging me to tell people what they want to hear in order to make my life easier. I'm not a morning person but I do have the potential to wake up at ungodly hours - this is usually a fruitful time to hunt for the freshest, dankest memes for my three loyal shit-posting supporters. Whilst most of the pictures on my phone are memes, my two dogs are another significant portion of those graphic contents. The little one, Hess, is a pug-chi cross with seemingly forged pure-breed documents and the other, Spiru, is a springer spaniel I took home with me at the end of a summer volunteering in an animal shelter. I've nicknamed them Nugget and Fucket respectively. Some things I can't do are ride a bike, tan properly, concede that jazz is an acquired taste (serialism definitely isn't one I've acquired so far either) and cook a meal that isn't mediocre at best.

I think that covered a fair amount. I'll stop for now. *walks away with inaudible music muffled in the background*

Guess that settles that.

I wish I had a "welcome template" like some of the others here, saying to read the rules etc. Just do as they say! :)

There's a wealth of information on this forum and if you can't find what you're after just ask. The only stupid question is one that isn't asked!

Don't be afraid of posting photos of locks you pick on the way as we all like pictures, no matter how easy they are to open. Everybody started somewhere and like seeing people progress. You don't have to pick a Medico to get a +1! In fact there's a whole thread on "What you didn't pick today"' :)

More than anything, have fun and keep it legal!

I think I've just written my first "welcome template"
