Hey folks

Been messing around with locks port for 6 months now it very addictive. I am also a constable so I have a professional interest to.

Tend to spp for fun and practise raking for work trying the to get my raking to the stage that it's faster then me snapping the barrel. Although snapping the barrels let's me collect locks to practise on lol.

Bawhaha

Got a beginners pick set and bought some sparrows rakes.

Picked the acrylic style lock. Master lock 3 master 140 era, dead bolt and a random assortment of euro cylinders era, sterling etc.

I wish I had a "welcome template" like some of the others here, saying to read the rules etc. Just do as they say! :)

There's a wealth of information on this forum and if you can't find what you're after just ask.

Don't be afraid of posting photos of locks you pick on the way as we all like pictures, no matter how easy they are to open. Everybody started somewhere and like seeing people progress. You don't have to pick a Medico to get a +1! In fact there's a whole thread on "What you didn't pick today"' :)

More than anything, have fun and keep it legal!

I would have thought snapping would be the quickest method of entry (lock depending) as it is even quicker than raking IMHO. May as well just use the big red key though :)

I too work for blue lights but probably in a completely different capacity, although I have had to use lock stuff at work occasionally.

I'd be interested (maybe submit a FOI request?!? :) ) to know how much actual picking occurs in day to day crime, prevention of crime, rescue, war etc. I'm sure it's not much but probably more than you think!

I think I've just written my first "welcome template"
