Hi, daveswagon here, a newby, i have got a transparent training padlock, and i'm ok with that, then i tried a real euro cylinder lock, severel days later still no go,any advise < apart from chuck it >. thanks

Hi Dave and welcome.

Getting the clear practice padlock open then being unable to open euro cylinders is where I am, too. I suspect it's a point that many get stuck for a while :)

Hi Dave and wellcome, has the lock got a name on it,can you see if it has 5 or 6 pins, which picks are you using,ect,ect, if you can take a photo of the lock and post please do so then all can help.

Transparent locks don't give the feedback that a real lock gives as they are basically plastic. Good for demonstration but not good for learning how it feels to pick a lock. Get yourself a cutaway euro lock, these are real locks that have a section cutaway so you can see what's going on, but the real trick is to FEEL what's going on. There are lots of friendly people here who will help you so don't despair.

Hi Daveswagon.
You need to click "Post reply" to get the full interface.
There will be a button "attachments" under the box where you type your text.
After clicking that, choose " add files" and add your photo.
Then put the cursor in the right place i your text, and click on the "Place inline" button.
Then "submit" !
