Hi.
I've had a fascination with locks since I way young, I'm now 48. A few years ago I bought myself a cheap pick set (with a clear padlock) but despite mastering the padlock, I couldn't pick anthing else and my interest waned. Recently I decided to try again and I believe my issue could be the thickness of my picks (0.025"), so I've just ordered some 0.015" Sparrow hooks in the hope they help.
I enjoy watching the lock picking videos on youtube from the likes of Waddac2, BosnianBill and The Lockpicking Lawer.

Wotcha and welcome.

Can I suggest moving off a clear lock - which are great to show you how a lock works - to say some progressively pinned locks.

Also the tolerances on those plastic locks means that they are very tiresome to pick.

Oh and the plastic being softer than the metal pins warps really easily.

15 thou picks might be a little delicate for a new picker.

Give them a whirl but don't give them to much force.

Most of us will use 19 to 21 thou.

Oh and welcome.
