David

Don’t beat yourself up over price - I’m always shopping around trying to get it cheaper, but sometimes you just have to take the plunge.

These are your first set so you’ll probably bend and break them whilst you learn, and may also decide to mod them or make your own in the future. I’ve added single picks from a variety of manufacturers to my basic kit over the last 18 months since I first picked up my starter kit on eBay - that’s the beauty of this hobby as it’s as cheap as you want to make it.

I bet you can’t wait for them to arrive and get started :08:

Post plenty of pictures and ask lots of questions

Postman arrived with my C1510 SouthOrd pic set... lovely pics I like them a lot
so my free screwfix padlock that had kept me entertained most of the other night just fell open in about 3 mins.
who needs keys :)

so I have watched hours of you tube videos on lock picking all the normal suspects everyone seems a little different on how the describe what they hear and feel from the lock. This worried me as I know my hearing is not great, but to my surprise this lock clicks and rotates and the pins get loose and stick, Bind just like all the you tube vids.
My SouthOrd pic does feel different to my bent bit of piano wire, so maybe all pics have some different feed back I don't know yet.

I have two more padlocks like the one pictured above I am going to open another to see how I get on but I think it would be nice if I offered the other padlock un opened still sealed in original packing to another newbie on here, How do I do that ? am I allowed ?

Great start mate bravo2 you can offer locks for giveaway or trade in the buy sell swap section.
Also look out for pass around sets, you can add your name on some of the waiting lists. Enjoy
