Hi,

Thanks for allowing me to register. I've had an interest in Lockpicking and associated skills for a number of years, partly out of professional curiosity and interest as a police offficer, but also in terms of the challenge posed in trying to defeat lock mechanisms.

I'm looking forward to developing my skills from the experience nd resources available here.

All the best.

Brynglas

Hi Brynglas :welc:

You've come to the right place. :)

Please have a read of the rules and a good look around the forum. Make yourself at home, ask lots of questions and post plenty of pics.

Rules are here :- https://www.uklocksport.co.uk/index.php/topic,38.0.html

Welcome to a great place to learn the art of picking a lock. Isayart but for me it's mostly luck. There are no stupid questions so ask away and I hope to see you around the boards.

Thanks for the warm welcome guys, much appreciated.
The forum is definitely a wealth of information, I'm currently up on holiday on a wet and windy Hebridean island, so a dram of the local produce and a few hours of going through the forum topics via an intermittent wi-fi connection is just the job.

That is pretty much how I started on the forum - on a holiday in Scotland. Only my drams were coming from the local lowland distillery *hic*

Have a quick read of the rules and etiquette section (should stop any confusion later down the line).
Next it's up to you really.

I would suggest taking a good read of Solomons guide as this is the best guide on the web (imo) :read2: :08: :
No matter what your skill set it's always a good piece of reference material to keep going back to.

I love the Hebrides, fantastic place for a holiday.

Welcome to the forum mate, take your time and be patient.
Locks will be opened, but you mustn't let failure put you off.
Some days we can open every lock we put in the vise, other days nothing works.
Read up on what you are doing, learn the jargon, watch videos and ask questions.
Looking forward to seeing you around
